Can you make this in advance?

Yes, you can prepare this one day ahead of time to avoid mushy spinach. Once you’re ready to serve it, stir the salad to refresh it. Sometimes I like to add a handful of fresh spinach into it too to freshen it up.

Recipe Swaps

This salad is easy to swap a few ingredients into or out of it!

  • You can swap baby kale for spinach if you prefer.
  • Not a fan of apples? Try a chopped pear.
  • I prefer using Craisins for the sweet cranberries, but you can also use dried cherries if you’d like.

How to Store Leftovers

You can keep this salad in an airtight container for 1-2 days, but I wouldn’t hold on to it any longer because the salad will become milted. . It’s best to enjoy it the day of or the next day for best flavor.
