Chewy Granola Bars Just Like Quaker

My kids used to love the Quaker chocolate chip granola bars, but as the price kept going up, I finally got tired of buying them. That’s when I started experimenting with making our own homemade chocolate chip granola bars—and I was shocked by how simple they are! With just a few basic pantry ingredients we always have on hand, these chewy chocolate chip granola bars come together in minutes.

They taste just like the classic Quaker bars (maybe even better!) and make the perfect kid-friendly snack for lunchboxes, after school, or even a late-night sweet tooth craving. If your kids love easy homemade treats too, check out our other favorites like Mini Coffee Cake Muffins and Mini Banana Muffins . I hope you give these easy granola bars a try—they’re such a game changer for snack time!

You should chill these in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, but I recommend chilling them overnight. If you are making these during the Summer, especially during a heat wave, let them set in the refrigerator overnight for best results.

Thank you so much for this recipe. Quaker Big Chewy granola bars are my daughter’s favorite. Since the recall, we’ve been making these and they are perfect- even better because they are homemade! Lauren

Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, but I recommend overnight for the best bars that hold together.

Once chilled and set, remove from fridge and cut up into bar shapes. I cut them up into 10 or 12 bars.

Because you sprayed the pan and let the granola bars set, they should slide out pretty easily. Serve and enjoy!

Storing Granola Bars in Fridge

Because these are homemade, I recommend storing these in the refrigerator either in the baking dish (covered with plastic wrap), or place in an airtight container. These will stay good in the refrigerator for a couple weeks.
