Want to add some sweetness?

If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, you can add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup. Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.

How to Store Leftovers

This recipe makes 2 servings – either for you and a friend, or you can store the other in the refrigerator to have tomorrow!

Transfer leftovers to an airtight container, a glass or plastic container with a lid works great. Place the sealed container in the refrigerator. The smoothie can be stored in the fridge for up to 1-2 days.

Before consuming the stored smoothie, give it a good shake or stir as ingredients may settle or separate during storage.

Want to freeze a smoothie?

To prolong the shelf life, you can freeze leftover smoothie in ice cube trays and use the frozen cubes as a base for future smoothies. Just blend them with fresh ingredients when you’re ready to make a new smoothie.
